what does this rom dump mean?

is it a new kernel or more stable froyo 2.2??

is the zte-u v880 the chinese version of the zte blade which ships with 2.2 froyo?

That was the beta build for this or something.

Yes but i think the release versions may be the same version just newer kernel. We need that info before we get excited. If it's a newer build number then great.

So are we now actually going to get a stable 2.2 with new kernel? Is the chinese v880 not just our SF but with less ram? how will the rom work with our sf's?

Well Hungarian Hedgehog works on our blades and Hungarians have (had) only 256 ram

No more stable than the Japanese version we already have, maybe a few bug fixes if it's newer

JJFish is rock solid on my Blade, no problems at all, so why it is so important? :) If it's a 2.2.1 build, then ok, but if it's a simple 2.2, then nothing special. IF contains any "RIL-problemssolver" solution for Tom for CM7, then goooooooood. ;)

The V880 2.2 is said to be multilang, so it will support (supposedly) almost all European countries, like us :)

========Status update==========

The dump process is not very optimistic.

We tried so many ways to get root privileges, but fail!

Go on to find ways. ;)

Have you tried tarring it up? Or Sebastian's hack? OR, flashing ClockWorkMod through fastboot, then doing a system backup?

Clockwork sounds like a good shout

If you stick clockwork on it won't we then lose the stock recovery stuff?

I think Sebs method keeps everything intact?
