Guest fonix232
If you stick clockwork on it won't we then lose the stock recovery stuff? I think Sebs method keeps everything intact? Yep it keeps, but that hole looks like been already patched sadly. The method I said only loses recovery, but that can be copied out as a "backup": dd if=/dev/block/mtdblock1 of=/sdcard/recovery.img Restoring it is the same but reverse if and of arguments ;) AND NO, AN IMAGE ACQUIRED THIS WAY CAN NOT BE FLASHED WITH FASTBOOT
Guest IronDoc
What did Paul do way back when? Or was he exploiting what Seb was?

I'm not sure /data/local/tmp is world-writable though, doesn't seem to be here. Try /sqlite_stmt_journals instead.
Guest vareBlade
You can always get a stock recovery.img and flash it later :/
Guest rjm2k
just a guess but it might be that romdump doesn't like the space before 1.1 in the device id, if thats the case then seb should be able to fix it

Guest Sebastian404
I found the 'problem' with the space in the device name with the Light/V9 tablet.... I'm fairly sure I read that having a space in the device id like that is against the standards, but since when did ZTE follow the standards.... Anyway, I dont have time to 'fix' it, but I've build this little hack... It should dump the device, but put the output into /sdcard/romdump rather than use a 2nd directory....install.zip Edited January 15, 2011 by Sebastian404
