Guest madboffin Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 If you wanted to disable this sounds in 2.1 you either deleted or renamed click.ogg and VideoRecord.ogg in system/media/audio/ui. You could do this with adb after flashing the ROM or by modifying the clockwork rom.zip beforehand. I found that if you did this the camera worked but the video camera would not function correctly (you could not start to video) My solution was to create ogg files with same file names but with silence instead of the tones and replace the original files. You can create silent ogg files easily with "Audacity" sound editing program. The cameras then work without the annoying clicks and bleeps ! This was on FLB G2 r6 2.2 ROM. (which is really good !) Guest Rotmann Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 (edited) Why don't you attach the files? Cheers. P.S.: Wrong sub-forum. Edited January 15, 2011 by Rotmann
Guest Makkaxxxxx9 Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 How do you replace the files?
Guest Stryke69 Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Why don't you attach the files? Cheers. +1 for that!
Guest M8701 Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Thanks, been wanting to do this so I could take candid shots of the little one
Guest Dark Man X Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 can i replace the ogg-files with root-explorer instead adb?
Guest Azurren Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Yeah you can use root explorer or a free app such as ES file manager Really an update.zip to replace both with the silent.ogg would be easily made by anyone who knows what they are doing ;)
