Guest trashbat Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) Hi, today i went out and got a san francisco, it was all working fine until i was a complete and utter tool. I installed the jellyfish rom and everything was working fine. I then went and downloaded a theme, however, in my absent mindedness the theme wasnt for the jellyfish rom it was for the paul froyo rom. The phone started up ok however obviously visually things weren't great. I switched off the phone, went into recovery mode and wiped everything. Then when i tried to start up it was hanging on the 'android' screen. So i went back into recovery and reinstalled the jellyfish rom however now it is just hanging on the green robot screen (i can boot into recovery) and to power off i have to remove the battery. Lesson learned: always create a back up and pay more attention. Could anyone give any help? Edit: re flashed the stock rom and its booted up ok again now, panic over! Guest StevenHarperUK Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 You did exactly the right thing. The /System (where the ROM is written) is only ever used as READ only DATA when you are in Android. So ReFlashng the /System takes you exactly back to where you were. Don't be afraid to try some of Frankish's very good themes.
