MicroSD card (copying over to another one?)

Hey, I used the 2gb card included when I first got the phone. I'd had a 16gb on order but it was quite delayed, and frankly I wanted to play with my new toy, so just used that.

When I mount/unmount the card it talks about applications using it etc. Sooo am I screwed if i swap out my card to the new one. Or can i just do a copy from one card, then copy it back onto the new one, throw it in and have no issues?

Is there anything I need to do to back stuff up in a particular way? I've never come across this before. just always threw in a new card when i needed more space, and on we went.
