Name of Tvcatchup alternative

Hello,

someone on the forum once mentioned a website that is like tvcatchup where you can stream live tv on the phone, I think it had a few more channels than TVC.

I cant remember what it was called ;)

anyone have a clue?

You need flash on the device to watch it though so its a no go for SF users

Filmon is great, but as mention as the SF has not flash is a no go, skyfire browser helps a little but can only see one channel...

Not used Yamgo in a long while,

But your best best IF you are in the UK is to use tvcatchup's mobile site

A couple of weeks ago I tried to watch it, and

it said that it requires flash on android. It's great

Which browser are you using?

I get the message asking for flash in the stock browser and in xscope, used to work in xscope when it had emulation for android 1.6 sadly they removed that feature........

filmon.com has been fine on the Blade for at least 3 months. Maybe you went to the other address, or caught it when they were having problems?

As said above its been working fine on SF since phone launch was watching ITV this morning in bed on SF stock rom in android stock browser.

Not working with FLB 2.2 R6, perhaps if your using a 2.2 rom the site expects you have flash support? (tested with stock browser)

OK, I tried this in JJ RLS7 and I get the Flash message, too. Turned Stagefright on and... no change. I'm sure I remember this working very recently so I tried a JJ RLS2 backup and I got a blank screen when I chose a channel. Produced this in logcat:

Thought it might be related to blocked ads so I reverted AdFree and the error remained.

Based on your experiences now I see the problem.

When I used a 2.2 custom rom, it asked for flash.

Now I use Finnish Fillyjonk (which is based on 2.1 eclair),

and in the stock browser it works like a charm.

In the future this could be a real pain in the ass problem, because

someday there will be a stock 2.2, then how can we watch filmon?? ;)

Keep pestering Adobe to get there fingers out and make Flash for ARMv6.

As ARM6 is considered an old generation CPU and will vanish in the future pretty quick, investing in this would be contrary to any business purpose.

I'm using FLB G2 r10b and using Dolphin Browser HD I was able to watch filmon.com using a custom useragent in the settings menu.

Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1; en-us; Nexus One Build/ERD56C) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17

Worked for me.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I just found that it works in Opera Mini and Opera Mobile without changing anything.

If you're using CM7 then to view filmon.com properly on the Browser you need to go to Menu->More->Settings->User-Agent [right near the bottom] and change it to Eclair.

Bit strange works fine in Opera but not Skyfire -also limited to 100 odd seconds - is it subs only now or was this always the case?
