Guest abdidas Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Try http://filmon.tv You need flash on the device to watch it though so its a no go for SF users Thanks but ... how can I try it if there is no flash on the SF lol
Guest Azurren Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Thanks but ... how can I try it if there is no flash on the SF lol Yamgo works.. (Or used to ;)) http://www.yamgo.com/ Not sure of the mobile link but worked on my old Pulse a while back
Guest extremedigital Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Filmon is great, but as mention as the SF has not flash is a no go, skyfire browser helps a little but can only see one channel... Not used Yamgo in a long while, But your best best IF you are in the UK is to use tvcatchup's mobile site http://m.tvcatchup.com/ Works perfect with the SF Hope that helps
Guest Acathla- Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 (edited) filmon doesn't use flash on android. Go to www.filmon.com from your phone's browser. Edited January 15, 2011 by Acathla-
Guest pitterr Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 filmon doesn't use flash on android. Go to www.filmon.com from your phone's browser. Now, thankfully they don't use. But they used. A couple of weeks ago I tried to watch it, and it said that it requires flash on android. It's great filmon.com nothing like bbc which doesn't care, that most of android users can't have flash. I LOVE FILMON! ;)

I get the message asking for flash in the stock browser and in xscope, used to work in xscope when it had emulation for android 1.6 sadly they removed that feature........ Playboy channel was excellent lol
Guest Arr Too Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 A couple of weeks ago I tried to watch it, and it said that it requires flash on android. filmon.com has been fine on the Blade for at least 3 months. Maybe you went to the other address, or caught it when they were having problems?
Guest jonep Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 As said above its been working fine on SF since phone launch was watching ITV this morning in bed on SF stock rom in android stock browser.
Guest SWOriginal Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Not working with FLB 2.2 R6, perhaps if your using a 2.2 rom the site expects you have flash support? (tested with stock browser)
Guest That-Guy Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 filmon is asking me to install flash too ;) Using Seb's 2.2

Guest Arr Too Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Hmm... perhaps those for whom filmon.com doesn't work are using a ROM with Stagefright turned off (as is the current trend...)?
Guest That-Guy Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Hmm... perhaps those for whom filmon.com doesn't work are using a ROM with Stagefright turned off (as is the current trend...)? Yep Stagefright is off for me.
Guest Arr Too Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 (edited) OK, I tried this in JJ RLS7 and I get the Flash message, too. Turned Stagefright on and... no change. I'm sure I remember this working very recently so I tried a JJ RLS2 backup and I got a blank screen when I chose a channel. Produced this in logcat: I/browser ( 609): Console: player.channelClick fired onfunction (evt) { I/browser ( 609): I/browser ( 609): if( $(evt.target).hasClass('subs_b') ){ I/browser ( 609): window.location.href = '#subscriptions'; I/browser ( 609): return; I/browser ( 609): } I/browser ( 609): if ( $(evt.target).hasClass('tvg_b') ) I/browser ( 609): return; I/browser ( 609): I/browser ( 609): $('#channels_container').hide(); I/browser ( 609): I/browser ( 609): var channel = player.getChannels()[evt.target_object.id]; I/browser ( 609): I/browser ( 609): _gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'Channels', 'Clicked', channel.title + ' (' + channel.id + ')']); I/browser ( 609): COMSCORE.beacon({ I/browser ( 609): c1:1, I/browser ( 609): c2:6036338, I/browser ( 609): c3:"", I/browser ( 609): c4:"", I/browser ( 609): c5:"", I/browser ( 609): c6:"", I/browser ( 609): c10:"" I/browser ( 609): }); I/browser ( 609): I/browser ( 609): player.playStart(channel.id); I/browser ( 609): } http://www.filmon.com/tv/modules/FilmOnTV/js/mobile_core.js:297 E/browser ( 609): Console: ReferenceError: Can't find variable: COMSCORE http://www.filmon.com/tv/?mid=13:186 Thought it might be related to blocked ads so I reverted AdFree and the error remained. Guest pitterr Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Based on your experiences now I see the problem. When I used a 2.2 custom rom, it asked for flash. Now I use Finnish Fillyjonk (which is based on 2.1 eclair), and in the stock browser it works like a charm. In the future this could be a real pain in the ass problem, because someday there will be a stock 2.2, then how can we watch filmon?? ;)
Guest Afrodude Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 In the future this could be a real pain in the ass problem, because someday there will be a stock 2.2, then how can we watch filmon?? ;) Keep pestering Adobe to get there fingers out and make Flash for ARMv6.
Guest Rotmann Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) Keep pestering Adobe to get there fingers out and make Flash for ARMv6. As ARM6 is considered an old generation CPU and will vanish in the future pretty quick, investing in this would be contrary to any business purpose. Edited January 16, 2011 by Rotmann
Guest cchalk Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) I'm using FLB G2 r10b and using Dolphin Browser HD I was able to watch filmon.com using a custom useragent in the settings menu. Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1; en-us; Nexus One Build/ERD56C) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17 Worked for me. Edit: Forgot to mention that I just found that it works in Opera Mini and Opera Mobile without changing anything. Edited March 9, 2011 by cchalk
Guest Arr Too Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 If you're using CM7 then to view filmon.com properly on the Browser you need to go to Menu->More->Settings->User-Agent [right near the bottom] and change it to Eclair.

Bit strange works fine in Opera but not Skyfire -also limited to 100 odd seconds - is it subs only now or was this always the case?
