Hi all,

Some of us are having wifi connection issues with our vegas.

To determine if they are router model specific, could you state what router model you are using, what the mod status is of your vega and whether you are having connection issues with your setup, what problems you've had and what encryption is used, lastly how / if it was resolved

I'll start,

Router.............................netgear dg834g version 5

vega mod status...............R6

connection issues..............yes, scan disconnect, scan disconnect, after vega shutdown

encryption........................wpa/psk

can it be resolved.............yes,reboot router

thanks for your time

aintcrackedityet...................but i'm trying

Wireless AV senders are a right pain and can't believe how I didn't think of this before.

They run on the 2.4Ghz frequency, the same as wireless networks and cause the error that is described above. (You can see the network but not connect to it)

I got a maplin mini 2.4Ghz sender and reciever and when my router is on, it creates noise across the screen around 2 second frequency. This also renders my wireless network useless.

Its worth borrowing a reciever from someone and cycling through the 4 channels to see if anyone on your street is running a wireless AV system. Then kick down some doors, Dave angel stylee.

Router.............................O2 Wirelessbox 2 (Thompson)

vega mod status...............R6

connection issues..............bit slow waking up but that's the Vega (as it is the same with other routers I have connected to)

encryption........................WEP

Signal strength is good through the house but perhaps not as strong as iPOD Touch (if thats not blasphemy lol). Getting same Up/Down stream speeds as my Netbook and IPod Touch as well so all well as far as I am concerned (just would be nice to solve the WiFi sleep issue)
