So - this is my 2nd screen. First time the gorillaglass and now the lcd only.

Did anyone that bought their streak second hand try to get the handset replaced with only the lcd cracked?

If so - how did you do it?

I bought mine off ebay from england, o2 locked - and I live in Norway. :)

*hurry! the screen is bleeding out from one corner!* ;)

I just got mine back from Dell after the exact same problem...

All I did was call up Dell, out of hours which puts you through to the USA and they had it picked up the next day and said a new one would be with me between 15 and 30 days..... Actually only took them 8 days.....

I'm in the UK by the way.....

Hm, did you have to supply some purchase information? All i have is the IMEI ;)

update: i registered the service tag on dell - and i will try to call dell in Norway on monday. If they wont help me I will try Dell in UK. Anything i should know before calling them - stuff they need?

This is obviously a design flaw...

Crap, I hate this - I love the streak

Have you gotten your device fixed?

I have the same problem but I live in Sweden. I talked with Dell in the United States and they told me that I have to have an address in the UK so that they can pick my device up, get if fixed and deliver the device back to me. I'm starting to get really frustrated and wondering whether I should just take this on my home insurance...

If anybody has any tips they are most appreciated!

I replaced the whole thing. there is no way you will seperate the lcd/digitizer from the gorillaglass and not damaging one or the other.

I see that the price on replacement parts from ebay have come down from 220$ to 100-120$.

seems like im out of luck regarding the replacement option from dell as the item is an ebay purchased O2 unit.
