Guest uczmeg Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 Hi, I thought I'd pass on some information on getting reasonably priced SD cards. I just bought off of a reputable seller on ebay. His id is topdot7. Do a search for his auctions, he always has plenty of SD cards going on 'buy it now' auctions. Currently 256meg is $74, postage is $12 and you'll have to pay about $5 if you wish to pay by credit card (there are other free slower options). Making $91 or £55.80 at today's exchange rate. Compare that with 7dayshop at £125! and Valueflash.co.uk who want at least £75 depending on the postage option. I ordered on Thursday and received it on Monday! He packages in a customs friendly way so there is no chance of further charges. I have nothing to do with topdot7, just a very happy customer (and he has over 1600 other positive recommendations) who hates the prices in rip-off Britain. Cheers Marc
Guest Pidder Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 Do a search for "topdot7". About 8 threads mention him

Guest Big Ron - No Longer a Mem Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 I used to recommend to customers that they bought a copy of "MicroMart" (most newsagents, £1.60, every Thursday) and spend some time trawling through the traders' adverts. (Because you'll find the same item at a variety of low prices - so don't just pick the first you come to; a week later, you'll pick it up again and find you could have saved a fiver!) Of course, I stressed that this was NOT an Official Orange Suggestion... just where *I* would be looking.
