Guest Nvidiot Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 (edited) Just now I was walking down the street with my blade in my pocket. I had the headphones plugged in and was listening to the FM radio. The radio suddenly stopped, due to a notification. The blade had picked up an open wifi network. This is strange, because according to what I've read, as soon as you turn the blade off, wifi turns off as well. Can can anyone else confirm this? Perhaps this can be used to find a solution to the "no background wifi" problem? EDIT: I just tested it this way: - Turned on FM radio - Logged on to IRC (with yaairc) - Pressed the power button - Waited a few minutes, then highlighted the nickname I was using. - Result? Instant notification on the blade ;) Edited January 15, 2011 by Nvidiot
Guest Flumpster Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 (edited) The wifi disables when the phone goes into deep sleep and draining hardly any battery. Yours is not going into deep sleep because you have the radio playing. This is not a solution unfortunately. edit.. you know when it is in deep sleep when you can't bring the screen back on by pressing any of the bottom buttons.. only the power button will bring it on.
