I have succesfully deleted all of the Orange stuff to declutter/debrand my phone.

HOWEVER, I am still left with the Orange logo on start-up [and the orange "swirl" pattern as its loading.

How can I remove the Logo and change the "swirl", please?

Cheers

Mike

The best and easiest way would be to install a custom rom ;)

IF you mean the very 1st logo that you get as soon as you turn the rom on - then use the search function to search for splash image

or click here

post 8 tells you exactly how to flash it

If it's the 2nd image the animation - search for bootanimation

it's in the framework-res.apk on the 2.1 roms and bootanimation.zip in the 2.2 in /system/media

I "think" you can put a bootanimation.zip file in /system/media on the 2.1 roms also and it will choose that animation rather than the one in the frameworl but I'm n ot positive on that

There are some nice boot animations available from the UOT kitchen here: http://circle.glx.nl

Go through the steps until you reach the boot animation bit, and take your pick. Saves you having to create a custom one and they look impressive, too - especially the one that looks like a PC starting up. ;)
