I was using the QDLTool now it's just dead! I was stuck on the stock 1.6 so I wanted to go ahead & upgrade to 2.2. I was using the QDLTool (2.7.4.8) then got only soooo far before I had to pull the battery and try again... That only happened twice, now my Streak won't power on at all and isn't recognized by my usb!!! I'm running Windows XP SP3, had all the drivers installed... I don't know what to do! I'm attaching the last log file I was able to save before it died... Someone, if you can help, please do! Thanks in advance!

Look to me like you got driver issue (ADB). Prior to running QDL tool, with phone power off, press and hold VOL up button then press Power ON button, release both buttons after 1 sec and then plug in your data cable. Now check your computer device manager for driver requirement, if so then install and then try QDL tool repair again. Else I would suggest try re-install SDK Setup again.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. My Streak displays NO SIGNS OF POWER, USB does not recognize/acknowledge it's plugged in at all, and I've used every port on my tower. I'm wondering if I will be able to salvage this thing before I just give up and return it to Dell for another unit.

You won't be able to return it if you've been messing around with QDL tool.... You'll have to blag it some how.

Mine Dell Streak was also the same and can't be put into fastboot mode, recovery mode and doesn't power up at first (no screen display doesn't mean no power!) but I was able to recovery and now running Steve Froyo latest Android version. However it seem to me as though you had already given up! good luck.

I haven't given up yet, that's why I'm here! Lol... I'm trying to figure out how to get this thing to power up again so that I can try to recover it... Any tips?

I FINALLY DID IT! Lol, "yay, me!" Although I killed my last Streak (the internal memory was corrupted,) Dell sent me another one. I did the test on the device to see if its internal memory card was corrupted & it gave me a "Passed" result, so I went ahead w/ the most updated version of QDLTool (SOOOO crucial!) & commenced the process of updating it from 1.6 to 2.2. I'd like to thank everyone who offered their assistance in the matter, you all are GREATLY appreciated!
