Running Much Slower in Landscape Mode?

Hi all,

Just got my San Francisco and still on the stock ROM. I've noticed something that I find slightly odd compared to my HTC Tattoo, which is many apps seem to run much slower in landscape mode. Scrolling around websites (including this one) in Opera is very laggy and slow in landscape but silky smooth in portrait.

It's even more pronounced when using Street View on Google Maps. In portrait mode you can drag the image round really nicely, but in landscape mode it's laggy and slow as hell. CoPilot is the same which the menus being painfully slow in landscape but really quick in portrait.

Has anyone else noticed this? I'm assuming it must be the same for everyone because my phone works flawlessly otherwise so I can't see it being a hardware fault (I hope!).
