Guest nicksoph Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 I have been on the JJ series and am very happy - the roms seem solid and the few faults that are outstanding are of little consequence BUT it they do seem slow. Ive just run the Quandrant Bench test and got a score of 350 which is about a third of the score of the fastest roms and I wondered if there was anyhting I am not doing right. I have JJ7 installed without overclocking enabled and was expecting to see a Quadrant score of at least 600 in this base config.
Guest fox2000 Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) Just forget about the 900+ scores: they were caused to (seemingly) a bug in Stagefright libraries, which have been disabled, so scores about 400 are actually correct ;) http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...41/stagefright/ for more info 350 is pretty low, though... with JJ RLS7 I've just redone the test and I got 431, with no overclocking (but HW UI addon installed), no airplane mode, usb connection on and 3G data on also. Guest punkmilitia Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Wow, I am shocked by my quadrant score, it's my 1st time running it, have wifi, 3G and 2 apps running and scored an amzing 413, not too bad considering I have all that crap running! ;)
Guest Pelemane Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 This is what I get with JJ RLS7 overclocked @768, hw_ui on and ahb overclocking enabled:

I thought it was Jellyfish ? Is it not fast then ? Perhaps it's all the Google stuff. Are any of these roms running the Froyo kernel that you people now have source for actually faster and less laggy than the orange stock ? Is there any point in installing them ? Thanks Edited January 18, 2011 by cartierv

Didnt know about the stagefright libraries giving iffy scores, but ive just had a go with Pauls MCR 10 and its giving me a Quadrant score of 946 - are the stagefright libraires again to blame and is this 946 score bogus too? rom used = MCR r10 mflops = 6.952 time = 12.06 norm res = 5.68 precision = 2.220... Unless you have a phone that isn't a blade, I think that 946 at this point is very unlikely. The highest "real score" I've seen for a Blade is about 670.
