Difficulty of installing custom froyo rom on Blade compared to installing custom rom on Pulse ?

Hi,

I am thinking of getting the Orange San Francisco but only want it if I can install froyo 2.2 on it, but the guide is getting me quite confused to say the least(I'm sure the guide is great and it is definitely my fault I can't understand it properly!).

I have the T-Mobile Pulse at the minute which I installed a custom Rom on ages ago, I found that quite hard at first but I was a COMPLETE android noob then.

Just wondering(before I buy one) what the difficulty of Installing a custom Rom on the San Francisco is compared to Installing one on the Pulse ?

Is there any (really) easy to follow, step by step guides like 'the ultimate Pulse owners guide' by Azurren ?

And is there any video guides ?

the guide seems complicated, but if you boil it down to the basics its ridiculously simple.

1. you flash clockwork on your SF via command line
   
2. put the rom you want on your SD
   
3. boot into clockwork and install the rom
   
4. wipe data and factory reset
   
5. done.

Yeah, fkit I'm gonna get one tomorrow and give it a go.

And you can't 'brick it' if you back it up ?
