Guest natash Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) I bought a few days ago Orange San Francisco in Orange UK. I notice that WiFi is broken, call to SD of Orange, they make a few test with me and said that phone is broken, give ma the faulty code which allow me return the phone. I was in the shop, but they said that tomorrow they can do this, because only one phone will be delivered to them and they can reserve it for me, I am afraid that the new one will from the same portion as the old one and WiFi also will be broken. Anybody knows if having faulty code in Orange Pay as You go I can take money back instead of replacing it. Edited January 17, 2011 by natash
Guest Graham1 Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 Hi natash Are you sure that WiFi is actually broken? Have you been able to connect at all but find your connection dropping / lost (usually after the phone sleeps). If so, this seems to be a common problem (from what I've read). I had this problem also but discovered "Blade WiFi Fix". When your phone goes to sleep or you loose connection, this usefull app makes the connection again (previously, I had to keep pressing the wifi icon to reconnect). Hope this helps. ;) I bought a few days ago Orange San Francisco in Orange UK. Guest natash Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 I am sure that Wifi is broken, in the same apartment I have got 1 bar of signal strength (20%), next to me nokia E51 has got 5 bars (100%), if I am in place where nokia has >60% SF could find network at all. Somebody knows how looks like refund procedure in Orange Pay as You go in UK?
Guest gambieter Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 There is absolutely no reason to think that the new one will automatically be broken as well. Just try it first.

Yes, I know, but they will have today just one SF. IF it will be broken I would like to refund a go somewhere else, but I do not know if I could as for refund.

If the new one is faulty just demand a refund under the Sale of Goods Act, they can't ignore your rights.
