tjeerdos, many thanks for your instructions on getting marketplace downloading, I had exactly the same problem (GTalk missing)

copying the files resolved the issue.

Been facing many many troubles with beta2 since has been published and maybe the way is to meet Ubuntu,

thanks for the info, surely this weekend I'll try the linux method.

I´ve done about 6-8 clean installs on XP/WinMo (with about 4-5 resets each) with no luck, but readed at i8000 topic same problems I have so maybe it isn't hardware related because of the obvious differences between both devices...

See Post #2652 by voyteckst, in the i8000 topic. It contains a link to a fresh SD install, just uploaded. It installs the same way as the previous beta, all files are included. Give it a try.

Hey guys I have a problem I did a clean install of android beta2 1024 partition but after install when I run Haret my screen stays black and android doesn't boot.

Any idea's on how to resolve this problem?

Dirty workaround: (manual install)

Untar the first beta to mystorage ext partition or SD ext partition

Untar the o2b2 filesystem to mystorage ext partition or SD ext partition. Use zImage from o2b2. (I noticed you tried the latest beta2.zip, use that ext.tar.gz for o2b2 filesystem).

If you want to use 2d/3d drivers from n00b, place that 02bupdate in zImage and haret folder and rename to 02b2update.tar.gz before first boot for best result.

Start Android.

It worked @ my phone.

See also issue #6 at code.google.com/p/omnia2droid/ for latest B7610 keypad update. Allways install this latest!

Downloas Beta 2 http://87.229.73.80/beta2_1024.zip

Download 2d/3d drivers http://rapidshare.com/#!download|482l3...ate.tar.gz|1480

On your phone

go to Options/Instellingen (dutch)

Go to General Options/Algemene instellingen

Go to Usb-Connection/Usb-verbinding

See the tap mass storage/massaopslag

Set it on and On My storage/ Mijn opslag

Connect your phone with the pc

you will see a Removable Storage/verwisselbare opslagmedia

FIRST Unzip here The Files from Beta 2

SECOND Unzip here the files 2d/3d drivers

you need to replace the Zimage/vervang Zimage

And change the name o2bupdate.tar.gz To 02b2update.tar.gz From 2d/3d drivers

Then run haret from 02beta on my storage

he install Android then run Haret from the root of My storage

if its good you get then the android Booting

Compleet the Setup and Reboot your phone

Now android is fully working :P

thanks for the manual but I can't find the new Zimage and the o2b2files I only have a 02bupdate.tar.gz folder and the beta 2 folder.

Do you know where I can get the missing files?

Istill have another o2bupdate file which is a zip. In here I do find a new Zimage do I need this one or the o2bupdate.tar.gz?

ga In wm Naar instellingen

ga naar Algemene instellingen

ga naar Usb-verbinding

Zet massa storage aan

Zet die op Mijn opslag

druk op gereed

Sluit je telefoon aan op de pc

Zet alle bestanden die in de Beta2_1024 staan Op de root van de schrijf die je er bij hebt gekregen bij het aankoppelen van je telefoon

Verander de naam van 2d/3d drive : o2bupdate.tar.gz in o2b2update.tar.gz

Zet die ook in de Root van Mijn opslag

pak de Zimage die je ook gedownload hebt ook in de root van mijn opslag en vervang die ene die er al op staat

disconect je telefoon van de computer

start Nu haret.exe van o2Beta Map op Mijn opslag

Hij zal nu een petitie maken na dat het klaar is boot hij opnieuw windows mobiel

Start nu haret.exe vanaf de root van mijn opslag

Als het goed is werkt ie nou goed

because Omnia II have another Wifi specs

I think it will come. Just like the devs sais they want to make android work on i920.

Only thing is, for now it has a low priority. I think we just have to be patient.

I respect the devs for their magnificent job they did till now!

i don't know this was the same but ............ I had android sleeping and with the W/L button it wouldn't wake up

after sliding the keypad and than use the W/L button android woke up .

Edit: didn't work for me. But I'm puzzled. Beta2 worked fine for me from the moment I installed, just untill now. Fresh install on re-formatted my storage. Phone gets very hot, freezes to death whenever screen gets off...

put it into My storage ( with beta1 rename to o2bupdate)

-To change boot animation your self, open o2b2update.tar.gz with 7zip.Open /system/media/

-download new boot animation from internet(google search, zip file) and rename it to bootanimation.zip.Drag and drop it into /system/media/.OK to overwrite, and then,turn off 7zip,click OK to update o2b2update.tar.gz.

-Final,put it into My storage and Enjoy!

I have a way to fix sleep problem if you using keymap & vip fix.Press and hold endcall key in 3-5s and then press and hold weak up key until phone weak up.

It work 4 me, and you?

mm strange, the volume up button triggers menu as well as volume and then my phone hangs :S also some other keys on the keyboard still trigger other commands, so there is still much to do for the devolopers.

Quite nice that they got it to work for 85 percent though :P

what i do when the phone don't wake up is

Push all butons ones :P wait 5 seconds then the power button. ( not the buttons on the qwerty pad)
