Backlight of hardware buttons doesn't work

Yesterday i flashed the zte with Sebastian 2.1 custom ROM (r8) because i had problems with the 2.2 custom rom that had been installed previously.

After had installed the rom, the backlight of hardware buttons worked, but only for few hours.

Now, if i change the display brightness the backlight of the buttons works for a while and then stops working again....any solution??

Are you sure they are not just switching themselves off?

They only come on in darkness normally. Try holding your hand over the top of the phone, where it says 'san francisco'. After a few seconds they should come on.
