I press 'messaging' and crazy things happen...

I wonder if anyone's had this problem?

I'm using the San Fran pretty much out of the box (no custom ROMS, just taken some orange stuff off) and on a couple of occasions when I've pressed ''messaging'' on the home screen to send a text, it's started acting up.

Instead of opening text messaging it'll open Facebook, or Market, or Dolphin, or Google maps........ basically anything on my homescreen

at first I thought I was half asleep or drunk, but I swear I kept pressing messaging and other random things would pop up

anyway eventually it gets over it...... but weird none the less. is this a common issue? (i have no idea how to search the forum for this except maybe "press messaging and it goes nuts")

definitely a poltergeist. try and use the search function.

... but seriously.

Mine acts weird like 10-15s after booting. Its not able to track the touch input correctly. Like if i hit the back button on the keyboard it will hit the 'b' key instead or if i swipe left or right on the homescreen it interprets it as a pinch and opens the homescreen overview. Once it is fully initialized and done the things it has to do it works fine from then on tho.

damn it, i install ''look out'' and the thing doesnt even pick up ghosts in the machine?!

yea just turning it on i'd understand....but this usually happens in ''normal'' use...odd. i'll keep slapping it around, see what happens

Totally agree with you mate! I'm on a Seb 2.2 rom and have exact same problem occasionally. Normally web it tries to open. Not the end of the world but?????.....

Maybe this will help? If not than the digitizer is fook'd up.
