Guest kenship Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Flashed the 4.005.05.AAP.GEN2_A22F (For Liquid E 512MB) into a Canada Fido Liquid E, everything's fine except for GPS, is that fixable?

Mmm I don't remember, but I think it's fixable.. I'll take a look at it ;) Only one question, why Asia ROM? It doesn't bring any improvement over the EMEA one.. :)
Guest kenship Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 The EMEA rom doesn't support for Chinese input, I can find apks but feel better when it's built in. Tried the EMEA 4.504b.00_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.05 (For Liquid E 512MB) , for some reason my Android Tweak tells me I have 17MB internal memory left over 165MB ava., where the AAP GEN2 reads 49MB over 200MB, which makes more sense. So you have Liquid E.. Did you try the official one? 4.002.14? ;) Maybe it creates different partitions :)
Guest kenship Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 I'm actually loading the leak froyo BIN so I can overlay the 4.002 official fido ROM on top, I wish there's an easier way for Fido ROM. So you have Liquid E.. Did you try the official one? 4.002.14? ;) Maybe it creates different partitions :)
Guest kenship Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 @Dairo93, Back to Fido ROM (4.004.04), still no luck on tracking a satellite, any idea to fix it? So you have Liquid E.. Did you try the official one? 4.002.14? ;) Maybe it creates different partitions :)
Guest electronPT Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Hi, I've bought today the same Acer Liquid E (512MB) with Android 2.1 and then updated it to 2.2 with the Acer release 4.002.14 and my GPS stoped working... actualy it reboots any time I start an aplication that uses GPS... Everyone has the same issue or is it a hardware problem? I did't try it with 2.1... thanks
Guest kenship Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Funny is: everything was fine when I got it as 2.1 and upgraded it to stock Fido 2.2. Now it doesn't works Sigh! Update: I think my problem is different... My GPS actually works fine... if the battery is full! ;) If the battery goes under 40% the phone restarts everytime I use any app with GPS. Does this make any sense?
Guest kenship Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 I realized it was the building that I was in that blocked GPS signal, once I'm outside and moving it tracked fine.
