Bluetooth - paired but not connected?

This is what my San Francisco is saying about being linked to my laptop.

I can send a file from my phone to the laptop with no problem, but when I try and send a file from the laptop to the phone, the laptop says 'This Bluetooth device or computer cannot process files of this type', even though I'm sending standard jpg & mp3 files.

Any help?

keep trying, mine usually takes 5 or 6 goes before the phone picks up the transfer

Plain vanilla Android has seemingly limited general file transfer capabilities.

Try Bluetooth File Transfer (free) or if you use Astro File Manager (free), add the Astro Bluetooth module (free).
