Custom ROMs best 2.1 experience

Hello

I am fairly new to the whole custom ROM game

could anyone help me, I want to know what the best Android 2.1 custom ROM is i.e. with working SMS, WI-FI, 3G, Bluetooth etc. if someone could recommend the best one with a guide to installing would be much appreciated, preferably Vanilla style or Froyo or Gingerbread framework

flb 1.7, we have got a froyo rom however the front facing camera does not work

I've never had any use for it at all.

I've only ever used the front facing camera once

purely to test the quality of it lol

there's really no need for it because I don't imagine the network can handle video calls using this handset, it seems to lag on the best of days sometimes.

and does it require SWAP for the SMS to work correctly?

vanilla framework, I have never had the sms problem (how does one tell the difference between missing texts or just normally have no on texting them ;)) but I recommend you have swap purelly because of the lack of ram

no as paul owns the online kitchen, flb was created by fibblesan

Successfully installed FLB 1.7, so far it's working great, SMS problem seems so far to be solved by SWAP, the only downside to this ROM is that bluetooth is not working, is fibblesan still working on these ROMs? or has he converted to a more upscale handset?

Bluetooth, IIRC, was working just right on FLB-Mod 1.7...

Yes, fibblesan has moved into ZTE Blade.
