Hello folks, I am having this annoying problem with my new SF phone. I have googled for possible solutions and I am at the verge of giving up now. Here's the story:

I purchased the phone from the orange store in UK. After unlocking the phone, I received my first phone call and the person on the other side was able to hear me pretty well. But there was noise accompanied with my voice. The noise can be described as the one you hear from a stereo speaker just before you are about to receive a call and your phone is lying close to the speaker. Its like the baud adjustment noise typically heard in older PPP modems.

I cant figure out if this is a hardware issue or a software issue. I thought about rooting the phone but I was afraid the warranty would be void. I will be glad if anyone can guide me with the problem.

EDIT: I dont hear this noise at all. For me the voice on the other end is perfectly clear.

thanks very much

Cheers

here in Portugal, the SAPO a5 (also based on ZTE Blade) also had this problem (noise on calls in 2G) and reached the conclusion that it was hardware problem. This forced the operator (TMN) collect the affected units ... it is expected that a new batch arrives this week, since without that problem.
