Guest timbomfg Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 Due to my iPhone taking one too many drops on the floor, my Streak has now become my primary telephone. One thing that is getting on my nerve though, is that the handset defaults to landscape for things like the lock screen, incoming calls etc. I know the device was intended as a tablet, but is there a way to change this? This leads me to my second question. Now that O2 unlocked my handset, would it be worth changing my device from a '21' baseband O2 handset to the generic Dell EU '00' baseband? If i did this, would the '00' firmware be more suited to portrait use? I'm currently running the O2 '21' 2.2 v319 firmware, which on a whole, is very fast, reliable, and suffers from no major issues from my usage. I've previously played with different firmwares, but as this is now my main handset, swapping around much is not really on my list of priorities, more-so getting a working handset, with the features i need. As per the ROM you are using, I highly recommend using Steve's 1.6. You will notice that your streak is a new beast. (I use my streak as a primary phone as well.) Edited January 19, 2011 by Spike8585

There were a few too many issues with previous versions (not bugs, just dislikes, which meant more time faffing to get it how i liked it vs the stock 2.2).

Honestly, if you like stock 2.2 you will love StreakDroid 1.6.0. I have not seen any dislikes for steves good work it just issues that people run into (for which there is always a fix.! ). You enjoy a lot more freedom with StreakDroid than with Stock 2.2. The forum is strong and you can always find solutions to all your problems and dislikes if any!
