1. Flash official ux100 1.075rom(http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y9E4RBNO or other mirror link)

2. install Terminal Emulator app

3. run fallow script

su

setprop service.adb.tcp.port 5554

stop adbd

start adbd

On PC

1. go to android SDK's tools directory

(If you have 2.3 SDK, go to platform-tools directory)

2. adb connect <device IP adress>:5554

3. adb devices(check connection with device)

4. install modaco r6

I try it now.

But other ux100 user install like this and work well.

Then you can use usb host/slave changer, but power button works 'home'.

and G sensor works very well!!

Edit

I've done install modaco r6 with PP.

I need more testing time, but not bad.

(I test usb switching, g sensor, calibration app(included!!))

this is a really nice idea thanks! My only concern is how much of the actual ROM the r6 update will overwrite that shouldn't really be overwritten, but it's definitely a good way of making it usable while Paul works his magic! ;)

Hhmmm, very strange, mine has another option "toggle soft keyboard"

Maybe upgrade your terminal emulator or get a different one?

I used adb wireless, so everything works fine now. It did change the boot screen. tho but its ok, testing now.

am liking this. if you hold on to the app drawer it shows all the home screen. sweet

I just did update to terminal emulator and now i can see the toggle soft key. cheers

Few key point: screen is very responsive, no double press after runing the tp utility.

its fast and smooth.

Vega is so f"""king responsive

You've got to try it yourself..... Remember that piece of device you holding is unbrickable. Only if the word exist. lollll ;)

will report more

Ok, had a quick play. No success yet but thats because I ballsed part up myself installing a faulty r6 pack I baked.

One thing I noticed Redmirage is that after installing term emulator you cant use it as you dont have root, can you add before that part to download and install VISIONary from here VISIONary at Modaco

Just starting again will report back after more progress ;)

Sigh, started again and made the same mistake AGAIN.... Waste of 10 mins :)

Installed r6 over this Atelier firmware and it seems to work fine, will do a few tests. Just putting my apps back on using the built in backup program.

Ok, backup worked a treat. Not only apps restored but all my settings, bookmarks, app data. Impressed.

Flashplayer was broken when I tried it but was easily fixed, watching iplayer now with no issues.

The one thing I really wanted was for wifi to stay active in standby, didnt get my wish :D

Do have some graphical glitches, very tiny white or black (depending on background) lines on some graphical elements, cant see them on the iplayer vid. Can see them when scrolling in some web pages and gmail.

Hhhmm, some games not working. Splode (wife will cry) and reckless racing lite now dont work. Dungeon Defenders and Spaghetti Marshmalows do work.

Seems ok and Host USB no longer lags after reboot for me but I think im gonna restore my nandroid of proper r6.
