Custom ROM's and Warranty

Hello Modaco,

I have recently been browsing your forums as I received an Orange San Francisco phone for Christmas.

After looking around, I have noticed that upgrading it to Froyo seems like a wise move and I wouldn't mind doing it. My only problem is that my Dad is worried about the warranty on it, for example, what would happen if it got a problem after installing and upgrading. My question is, if I was to install custom ROM's on my phone and something went wrong and needed taking back to the shop, could I install the Stock ROM's back on to prevent it from having 'Voided' the warranty in Orange's view, and return it?
