Guest anthscorner Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 Hi all, I have the 'offical' leather case for my streak which I use when at work (i.e carry in my laptop backpack). Which is great as it protects my streak in transit and it has a stand so I can sit back and watch movies when travelling on the train. :) What's not so cool is going out on the night time with it in the leather case as it looks like a filofax (and they weren't cool back in the 80's either). So I've been doing what every self respecting Dom Joly does and slipping my exposed streak into my Jean pocket. No issues at all with walking or sitting, just after a pint or several ;) I always get paranoid about dropping it. I've been looking for silicon skin that's going to protect (from low level drops) but not make it too bulky to fit in the pocket and here's what I've found http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0048777HK...1971&sr=8-2 Got it for £3.90, it fits neatly over the volume, power / camera keys and has holes in all the right places. Haven't taken it for a test drive yet aka beer session but I'll keep you posted. :D

Guest zigzagindex Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Cheers will let you know on the stretching. Pretty good so far but early days  I got one from Ebay, it is ok but not impressive. I just wander whether it can protect the streak if it falls down to the floor.

Guest drofeel Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Try the Otterbox cases, yes they add bulk to the Steak, but protection is second to none.

Guest maskaler Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 seems to me thats the same one from OP. its just clear. i have the otter case, and the same one the OP suggested, the jet black gel case. I have the huge Otterbox one for when I'm outside doing stuff, but I bought the cheapo one the OP suggests and it's doing a job. A lot slimmer than my otterbox one so the phone seems a more normal size now. Nowt wrong with having 2 cases.
Guest anthscorner Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Update after week 1. Found this case to be great value, it does what it claims. I have been using the case whenever posssible, it's had a couple of test drives , been taken off several times when using the car kit and when using my leather case to watch a movie. Pros; Inexpensive Fits properly More grip in the hand Doesn't make the streak too bulky Easy to fit and remove Cons, Can stick getting in and out of suit jacket pockets. Will give any updates when they happen. Ta, Anthony.
