Have I bricked My phone?

Used instructions on http://orangesanfrancisco.co.uk to update my new phone to FROYO.

Problems occurred. Have I bricked my new phone and do I now need to cry?

Problem.

Followed all instructions up to installing the ROM.

When I went to install it just kept telling me "installation aborted"

Each time I tried it said this.

Now after a while it seems the SD card has unmounted and I have tried to remount using the option in the console but it says "error mounting SDCard".

Is there anyway back or should I just quit?

Still got this plugged into computer so a quick reply would be appreicated.

What was the error code when it aborted? Did you ensure you downloaded the whole file? (MD5 sum check works well here)

Can't say what the error code is now as the clockwork recovery console has just infor on my sdcard unmounting and being unable to remount.

Can I switchoff to remount?

If you're just flashing new Boot/Recovery/System images then you'd have to really go out of your way to brick it. In the event of everything going wrong you should still be able to get into fastboot, where you can flash a new recovery image from your PC, then install a rom via recovery.

Thanks. Seems Sorted. Nice new jellyfish floating on the screen. With Spanking 16GB card, time to fill it up.

I got an ipod touch 16gb for my Christmas. It is pish compared to this thing. Always dropping wifi, needing me to sign in, not playing flash. Pity £250 for nowt.

THats said the phone only says it has 166mb available. IS that about right?

you have to use the jellyfish image to repartion the blade to get 300mb for apps, or repartition your Sd-Card with a FAT and a EXT2 partition. A2SD will store your apps automaticaly on the EXT2 so 512MB EXT2 is fine ;)

amunRA or Clockworkmod can do this for you. but all data on the SD-Card is lost. you are warned!
