Hello all :)

I have enabled wifi on my netbook and set it up as a adhoc wifi point, in the hope that I can switch on the wifi on my blade to hook up and to share the net connection. Net connection is by 3G dongle plugged into netbook...

Blade is running MCR 11, has anyone managed to get this Wifi to work properly? Have the IBSS set up to broadcast a SSID, but the Blade does not seem to "see" the adhoc point....

Or am I missing something?

Cheers ;)

With 2.2 you can run the stock froyo "Wifi Tethering". (Located under wireless and networks in settings)

Just enable wifi tethering and connect your PC to your phone as though it is a wireless router.

No need to mess around with any ad-hoc settings :)

i think he want to share its netbook internet connection and connect the android to it

if you have windows just install an app called conectify (easy to find with google)

if you are under linux you need an app called airbase-ng

Lulz!!!! Have dedicated Linux workhorse but am away from it at the mo, and would like to somehow share my 3G connection under XP via wifi for the blade to hook up to.... I know I know... am asking a bit too much but hey...what other way could I do it... my XP is actually what earns me bread and butter y'know.... so am not in a position to ditch it... will have to save up for a good Win7 portable... (blerrgghhh, wait... did I really just say that :))

Thanks for that, :)

+1 for the linky,

however I have to question the method used...

clearly my wifi card is borked and does not allow it to happen...tis a realtek 8187 type... meh....

humm i think you have to install the last drivers on realtek site ;)
