Is there any app that will send a text message based on location?

hello,

So I am now a noob+ after getting things all sorted (apart from some online video). I have a question though. I often have to go pick people up and then sit and wait while they get their stuff together and come out to the car. Is there any prog or tasker that could work on say a GPS location so when im down the road it could send a text to this person telling them to come out as ill be there in a minute?

would be cool if it could ;)

I don't have time to research this, but have a look at the Setting Profiles app, maybe that would do it.

You can do it with Tasker.

any idea if its simple to set-up or not?

I will download trial later but alas wont get the chance till later to have a look so any pre advice is welcome ;)

Tasker is very powerful, and can be a big tricky to get your head around. There is another app Locale which should be able to do it aswell (with the SMS plugin). That prboably be easier, but it's more expensive.
