Guest shambolic Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 (edited) Anyone know of a word editor that functions like a normal pc editor? I've tried documentstogo and it seems you have to select the words you are going to edit before editing them. this is a problem as I am switching between bold type and ordinary type so have to keep reselecting, it is a very unatural process. Also office suite it is very hard to get to the bold option and I am puting in chords in bold to lyrics so switch back and forth constantly. What I'm after basically is a word editor that functions just like any other on MAC or PC one. Any suggestions? Edited January 20, 2011 by shambolic
Guest trevor432990 Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 To be honest I think tablets are not designed with word processing in mind by virtue of having no keyboard and I certainly would not like to type a large document using one. Obviously for people on the move an MS Word type app might be useful on occasion but I'd like to hear from people who use the Vega for this type of work because apart from text messages and URL input I wouldn't have thought many people venture beyond that. I wait to be shot down ;) P.S. Sorry I did not answer your question BTW
Guest remlap Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 (edited) I use QuickOffice but if someone can work away round bringing up a software keyboard on the Vega for Google Docs I'd swap in an instant. Edited January 20, 2011 by remlap
Guest castab Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 My father uses Documents To Go with his vega and it seems pretty good by all accounts. Also works with GDocs I believe.
Guest matthijskox Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 I also use documents to go, it is really good i think.
Guest JustaBloke Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Have a look at Evernote. It's very good and syncs with your PC automatically.
Guest warriorscot Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 (edited) docs to go is pretty good it's what I use however I tend to just use teamviewer to my home PC and use MS office remotely. It would be brilliant if we could get open office for android. PS by virtue of having no keyboard You can just plug one in. Edited January 22, 2011 by warriorscot
Guest Prosody Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 I use gDocs, it lets you create and edit documents and ties up with google docs. It may not be perfect but it's the best free solution I've found so far.
Guest shambolic Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 I bought documents to go then realized you can't zoom with 2 fingers. As I am using it while playing concerts I need that quick option so am back on Office suite now.
