why should it have a Specific absorption rate better than any outher smart phone because its not metal ?

If you work in marketing then yes ;)

But no, it doesn't really correlate. Ideally, you want to design a phone where the signal is mostly going to the base station and not being absorbed by the body.

I think you guys didnt understand what i meant. My question is if the high SAR of the san francisco(1.35 W/kg) results in better signal than other phones with lower SAR.

I am aware of the bad health consequences that the high SAR can have in our body thanx.

Yes i mean during voice calls if it has better reception than other phones??

If the SAR value has less than 1.60 W/Kg absorption then it has the same effect on the body, according to CNET anyway and the EU's limit is 2.00W/Kg I think.

Ok i understand that...but higher SAR means that the phone emits more watts of energy right??So does this mean that the phone will also have better reception(better signal) compared to other phones with lower SAR??

I think SAR refers only to the radiation emtited by the phone during phone calls. Its doesnt have to do with wifi

No, if anything you want a lower SAR for signal stregth - as it will generally mean better design - ie. the antenna is furthur away from the head/body.

But really the SAR tells you how much energy is being absorbed by the body - that's all.

i always thought dat the higher the SAR level da more radiation could absorb in your skin..which isnt good. i dont think a high sar level is something that u should get happy over! btw my sf signal is poor hw comes? is it jus orange network coz everyone else n ma house is fine bt they on diff networks n phones?
