Guest bdalenoord Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) Hello to all of you... Last week my phone's screen glass broke and I chose to replace it myself. I dissassembled the phone according to the service manual which I found in a thread here at modaco. Yesterday the replacement glass came in and I reassembled the phone. After the boot, my screen stays black for a little while, after which red and green pixels seem to appear randomly. If I leave the phone on for a little while, Windows will load as you can tell from the sounds you hear. The screen turns totally white/pink after about 5 mins and gets very warm. The touchscreen function seems to work properly as the sounds and vibration still work when you press the screen. Does anyone out there know what the problem is or is there anyone with a solution? [edit] After repeatingly turning my phone on and off, the Windows logo became vaguely visible in green. Possibly a clue? [/edit] Thanks already, Bas Dalenoord (NL) Edited January 21, 2011 by bdalenoord

Guest dhawal3320 Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 i think its a flex problem... once i did same in my earlier phone I-mate K-jam & had to change flex & was done by service vendor too..
Guest bdalenoord Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 It appears to us that no cable is twisted and all connectors are placed correctly... So I think the TFT-screen might be broken... I might try to find one on Ebay sometime soon, but they come at quite a high price...
