mp3 Player stops working when headphones are plugged into 3,5mm adapter

Hello,

I have a problem playing music with my T-Mobile Pulse (U8220). Whenever I plug headphones into the 3,5mm adapter, the player stops playing after a few seconds. Not immediately but after lets say 2sec. If I would not plug in any headphones (tried several ones), the players plays the track without problems, regardless if the 2,5mm to 3,5mm adapter is plugged in or not.

Because I wanteed to use the phone also as an mp3 player, this is very annoying!

ROM: T-Mobile uk update 2.1

Any hints highly welcomed!

bye

Hi Marcus,

I think this is the 2.1 Android bug. If you use the flashed rom, you can give this command under the terminal program:

#disable com.android.music/com.android.music.MediaButtonIntentReceiver

If you want to use the phone as an MP3 player then I'd recommend the CM6 ROM that gives you music controls on the unlock screen as well as fixing what cyanogen called the "party in you pocket" bug that results in the MP3 player doing odd things with headphones.

Thanks for the help, so I will try the CM6 ROM then!
