Guest Gregga Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 hey Had my vega around a month and a half now and love it running r6+ performance pack. however i wake up thismorning to find that it is stuck in portrait mode?! tried restarting several times, but no luck any suggestions? cheers Gregga
Guest zzleezz Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 The rotation lock switch between your power button and back button needs to be switched of and on sometimes so the Vega can remember which way you locked it.
Guest Gregga Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 The rotation lock switch between your power button and back button needs to be switched of and on sometimes so the Vega can remember which way you locked it. tried that - no luck. is it worth trying to install the advent vega update on myadventvega and re installing r6 + pp?
Guest zzleezz Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Well that would certainly help rule out a software problem. Bit drastic tho :-P Think I remember another Vega getting stuck like this. Ill have a search.
Guest HyDeNoW Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 I'm having the same problem. My vega was working perfectly with pauls r6+performance pack. Then I decided to try the usb in host mode with a usb drive. As soon as the usb drive was plugged in the g-sensor stopped working and I am stuck in lanscape mode. Also every time I reboot it sets the orientation to landscape upside down and I have to change the game compatability mode which at least flips it to landscape the correct way round. I have searched through the forum but not found a solution yet. I have tried reinstalling r6 and the performace pack with no effect. I might try reinstalling 1.06.5 for a fresh start but if that dose not work I am afraid it will be going back an I will wait for the next generation of 10.1" tablets. I know the Vega is cheep but this will be the second one to go back in under a month. It is a shame I realy like my vega but I would prefere to pay a bit more for something which lasts more than 2 weeks.
Guest HyDeNoW Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011  :) I appear to have fixed it. I let my vega run completly flat and then pluged it in to recharge and the g sensor has started working. I don't know if a hard reset would have done the same thing as I only did soft resets using quick boot but for the moment at least the g-sensor appears to be fully working. I will try it with a few games to confirm it but the home screen rotation in ADW Ex at least is working perfectly. :) ;)
