Hibernate feature of the Desire HD rom

Hey all,

I used to have the DesireHD rom on my normal desire and the hibernate feature was just amazing for saving battery but overall lag was unbearable (gingervillain rom ftw), I noticed some topics about the Vega using up too much battery while on standby, this is one big limitation for Android on a whole. My friend forgot his iPhone4 in his locker over the weekend and it only lost around 10% battery lol! something I sadly cannot experience on my beloved phone. Anyway more on point, I was wondering if anyone knew how this Hibernate feature worked and can it be ported on the Vega?

it is possible to add this feature into any rom when we have the kernel sources, its basically just a linux kernel tweak that htc decided to use.

However personally I turned it off on my desire z, I wouldn't use it, however on my tablet it might work well.

Ah awesome, and yeh I didn't really use it on my desire... what's the point when you can't receive calls or notifications lol. The guy(s) on the Advent Vega twitter promised an end of Jan kernel release so lets hope they can deliver. And I noticed you're part of the Villain team - the roms you guys put out are flawless.
