Killed my phone

Hi I've flashed my phone several times before and I have had various errors in the past but always managed to reflash using KDZ while the phone was in download mode. Now there was an error and my phone has NO power. There is charge in the battery but it will not go into download mode, and the computer doesn't recognise that the phone is plugged in. I've tried everything I can think of but can't reflash the phone.

Any suggestions before I take the phone back to try and get it repaired?

Have you tried removing the battery, wait 5 mins then plug into USB (without battery) while holding VOL DOWN & POWER (download mode)?

If the computer won't recognise it from that then I got nothing.

I haven't left the battery out for 5 mins but the phone doesn't go into download mode with the battery out and it plugged in via usb

try this:

1) plug out the battery

2) press the powerbutton (~ 5 sec)

3) put the battery on your desk or something like that - whereever u can find it later

4) put the usb-cable in BACK of your pc (not front usb)

5) press VOL DOWN + POWER and plug in the usb

6) look at the device manager (of your computer) and it will says if it recognise your phone.

if u went in the download-mode flash with "EMERGENCY"

if u can't go in the download-mode try to flash with "CS_EMERGENCY"

if u have warranty go in the shop where u bought your phone or go to www.lge.com and go in the live-chat (support)

tell them your phone doesnt started since 1 day and u want that lg repair it!

the dude will send you a formular via email that u have to fill out

then lg send you a postman. he will take your gt540 to lg and back :lol:

when u plug it in the PC what device comes?

when u plug it in the PC what device comes?

IF nothing works, go to LG Service center and give them your phone
