Guest WinterWonderland Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Cant see any sort of guids for the ZTE blade on here, just seems like all the posts are from people who know how to use it. All i'm seeing right now on mine is Max 528Mhz Min 19.2Mhz Is there any guides for this? I seen people talking about setting it to 710Mhz and I would like to do that. I am running JJ R8
Guest jurrasstoil Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 well, which rom are you using?

Guest jurrasstoil Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 (edited) after starting setcpu for the first time did you select the 2nd option "Autodetect clockspeeds" or something along that lines? Edited January 23, 2011 by jurrasstoil
Guest WinterWonderland Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 after starting setcpu for the first time did you select the 2nd option "Autodetect clockspeeds" or something along that lines? Yes I did indeed. Should I have done something else? Damn!
Guest jurrasstoil Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 hmm, no. autodetect is correct. weird.
Guest Danhandy Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 hmm, no. autodetect is correct. weird. Uninstall and reinstall then select auto detection agian. Worth a shot.
Guest WinterWonderland Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Ill give it a go again.... I have an OLED screen so i'm guessing it was an older phone perhaps this is the reason?
Guest robot1000 Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Ill give it a go again.... I have an OLED screen so i'm guessing it was an older phone perhaps this is the reason? Have you flashed the seperate overclock file?
Guest jurrasstoil Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Ill give it a go again.... I have an OLED screen so i'm guessing it was an older phone perhaps this is the reason? nope, not the reason. Have you flashed the seperate overclock file? the seperate overclocking file just enables AHB overclocking if the CPU is overclocked. unless kk changed it JJ supports overclocking w/o any addons.
Guest WinterWonderland Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Went to bed last night chaps but when I turned the phone on this morning all was well, able to set mina and max to 710. Mind you battery is getting raped now even after the wiping stats trick my god never seen anything drain as fast. Doubt ill be using setcpu tbh, i dont need it for anything ive found yet. Makes a small difference to how fast menus open and stuff but nothing to warrant the battery life being murdered. Cheers for the help lads
Guest bugeyes Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Its a shame you bought set cpu, its avaiable for free on XDA devs! Still good to support the dev of the app

If you set max and min to the highest values it'll be running as fast as it can the whole time - even on standby. If you let it go down to a lower value when you're not using it it'll last longer on the battery.
Guest WinterWonderland Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 if i google for xda setcpu my first result is this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419 cheers i was loking thru the forums manually by phone brand Thats your problem - set max to 710 and min to 122 or 245. Guest Swimmerboy Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 underclocking then... have it set to min 122 max 710 now, see how it goes cheers Stock lowest speed is 245, but I set mine to 122 unless its charging at which point its 245. The cpu will scale automatically depending on load so you'll likely not notice much drop in performance but battery life will be better than setting it to max all the time.

Guest T3KO Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 When i use profiles do i have to check "Set on boot" ?
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 When i use profiles do i have to check "Set on boot" ? not a good idea till your phone is stable
Guest T3KO Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Just used the profiles do underclock and 75%-100% @652 so no hardcore overclocking. So the checkbox is for profiles not only for the clockspeed @ the firstpage?
Guest adamguest1985 Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Grabbed setCPU from XDA - but when it's up and running it autodetects as 600mhz (highest?) - how do I change this to 710 or such? Need an idiot's guide to setting it up. Thanks in advance.

Need an idiot's guide to setting it up. Thanks in advance. Just use the profiles to set a condition battery%, temp... a max and min speed and the priority. You should have about 5 profiles to save battery. example: screen off 1XX mhz 1XX mhz ondemand 90%
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 Is it possible to overclock Pauls rls12 using SetCpu? If so, how?
