Hi folk's

I have a wierd charging problem with FLB-R6.

When I put the phone on charge from the mains charger, sometimes it goes to USB charging mode. This has been driving me crazy all day!!!

It then requires a reboot to get it to charge at full AC mode again. Even that sometimes doesn't cure it. I was beginning to think it was my charger or the cable. I've tried another cable and that didn't solve it. I've now gone back to 2.1 just to prove that it's not the phone or the charger. Works perfectly!

I'm now thinking it may be some sort of software conflict in this ROM with alarm clock apps. I've been using Alarm Clock Plus V2 as a night clock. When I uninstall it, sometimes the problem goes away. However it also occurs with other alarm apps. Very wierd.

Don't suppose anybody else is getting this effect or even noticed?

Take a look in Services/About phone/Status to see charging mode.

Cheers... :)

UPDATE: I've just wiped the phone and re-flashed a completely virgin FLB-R6 with no added apps or widgets. At first plugin of the charger it was charging ok in AC mode. Now it's going back to USB mode again!

Would anybody care to check their phone to make sure it's charging in AC mode from the mains charger, please? Must be FLB-R6 ROM... Cheers

Iv'e got a similar problem with the latest ROM, 8a. Plugging it into wall socket, and it comes up as usb and takes twice as long to charge!

Any solutions?

I haven't seen that issue either, and also running 8a, with the original kernel, and the kernel2 RDS one, as well.

Maybe a faulty cable/charger plug, probably not though?

Must be ROM issue, reflashed to 7a and problem is gone. Very strange.

strange indeed. Phone is correctly detecting USB or AC charging here. Can't really see what could cause the problem for you.

Since updating to FLB-r8a this problem seems to be much less frequent.

It has happened once, but a reboot sorted it. Wierd... :D

Does it happen every time you plug in? Tried a reboot? That works for me.
