Guest Crinos512 Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 What are the odds that they have the good sense to leverage the good works of DJ_Steve and Company and simply give the nessicary code over to him?
Guest Diomed Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 It took Dell about 6 months to the day to come up with a working Froyo. You would think they could do Gingerbread a bit quicker.

Guest Gopu Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 they spent too much effort on the useless stage ui Well said... However they have realised their mistake and have kind of made it very optional... There is a lot of criticism about dell and most of them are founded too.... However everyone fails to understand how dell have been so much friendly at the social media and have released good info through amy and others at twitter. Just see the samsung and other hardware developers , who are so reluctant to release any info

Still waiting for 'good info' in response. I hope that Dell can make the change necessary to support their own hardware in an open source community... It's not hard, release the drivers and focus on continuing to improve the hardware. Cheers Brian

Remember milestone has yet to received froyo
Guest jmhalder Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 +1 Having use a milestone from motorola, dell is so much better, at the very least we are able to install custom rom. Remember milestone has yet to received froyo even if the milestone isnt 2.2 via OTA... the original milestone is as moddable as any other phone (as long as the ties to the VZW droid arent as strong as I thought)... the Milestone 2 may not be on 2.2, and it IS locked down.
Guest LorD CLockaN Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) Looks like Steve is liking ginger more and more considering his tweets  Edited January 25, 2011 by LorD CLockaN
