Guest geo5 Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) hello i trying to install clockwork, wheni am in Recovery Manager i click on the recovery tab, select install recovery, select 2.5.1.8 from SD, click ok, it looking like it installs but at the bottom of the crean it shows: currently installed recovery: unrecognised I have the same issue. Orange San Franscisco Build OUK_P729BV1.0.0B08 - Installed UniversalAndroot_1.6.1 - Rooted phone successfully - Installed Recovery Manager v0.23b - Opened Recovery Manager v0.23b, recovery tab, install recovery, select "recovery-clockwork-blade-2.5.1.8" from SD" ,OK. Bottom reads: currently installed recovery: unrecognised Files are all OK (I've checked the MD5 sum with Astro File Manager). Same problem with Recovery Manager v0.26b. Any help is appreciated. Solved: There seems to be a problem if the folder name (the folder were recovery-clockwork-blade-2.5.1.8 is in) contains spaces. Without spaces all works fine. Edited January 25, 2011 by geo5

Guest oh!dougal Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 IMHO the most straightforward way to install Clockwork is to run the installation on the phone, using a (text) Terminal app. You need to get Clockwork onto your sdcard, install a Terminal app, install a root app,, run Terminal and type a couple of commands very carefully without typos. It ain't hard. And it doesn't depend on programs that are still being debugged, sorting the right usb drivers, etc, etc I spelled out how to do it in excruciating detail here -> http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...c/#entry1499715 The detail should leave little to 'interpretation' or 'common sense', though those so blessed may not need all the explanation --- but that doesn't mean you can skip doing stuff 'because you are clever'. You do really need to check the MD5, for example.

It is hard, been reading it for a few days no and not any wiser. I have a lots of thing downloaded by now , which I have no clue what they are. Is there an easy way to delete or uninstall what ever I`ve pu on it - I fallowed the orange guid to letter. Taht would be really helpfull, thank you.
Guest sambartle Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Just a quick post to say that mine did exactly that.. but I rebooted it holding Vol - and it came up into the recovery just fine. Seemed to just be a display glitch for me!
