Guest Antraid Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Hi! Whenever I try to start up my SF ZTE Blade phone, the mobile always "gets stuck", i.e doesnt start up fully, it stops working when the "asteroid explosion(?) graphic/clip" appears and it keeps on looping over and over again. randomly sometimes it gives me an error 'com.android.settings' force close, i've searched for this problem but the solutions are for only the ppl that can start up the phone, something which i can't :/ I've tried pulling the battery out/reset/leave it on/off for hour(s), charger, etc none seem to work. :) p.s: ive bought it yesterday and the only thing i dled from the market was a facebook app, which worked fine the day yday, this problem appeared while trying to connect to a school wifi and since then haven't been able to get my phone to work. any hints please?

If you honestly haven't tried flashing any custom roms then try the following: Take out the battery and SD card, Plug in the charger and try to boot without both of the above. If still no luck then you could check if clockwork is installed on the device (Or the stock recovery) by holding volume down while powering on until the menu appears Although it could be solved by flashing custom roms / fastboot it would be best if you could return the phone, could be a hardware fault

The applications settings problem (com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly Force Close" I've tried the power on with volume down button a Grey box called FTM appeared, but i dont know what i can do from here on, and i dont know how/what flashing custom roms is  Edited January 24, 2011 by Antraid
