If this thing just had 3g... sooo annoying.

I still dont understand why they would make a model without 3g? Tethering just isnt an option and i really want a tablet not my small O SanF at work:/

They are making a model with 3g.

At the moment this works fine for me. It tethers beautifully with my San Fran. running any of the 2.2 custom ROMs.

why is tethering not an option? as said in numerous other threads almost all new android phones can do "wifi hotspot" easily

The thing for me is that no 3G = no GPS since they both are part of the same chipset.

i only use my SF as a dataphone. Not as my primary voicephone.

i cant carry my SE995, SF and a Vega into work just for this purpose. Thing is im very impatient and like..its not as though 3g is a new technology that Advent are waiting for, this thing has been available for a long time already.

Why not just launch with 2 models one with 3g one without? Tethering is an emergency solution at best.

And with the best will in the world, we are nearly into the 2nd month of a new year, and i still dont see a Vega with 3g. but the annoying thing is POV dont have one either..

And the tosh folio, apart from failing also had a lack of 3g...its like all tegra 2 tablet makers decided to produce multiple batches with no 3g... knowing that they could sell them, and then supercede it with a 3g model later on and re sell to the original buyers who wanted 3g to begin with.

You can even buy an amazon kindle with 3g! it cant be that hard to add in to the device.

3G isn't all that easy to put in it's not quite that simple, not having it makes a huge difference to price and ease of manufacturing. The platform comes with its own wifi but 3G and GPS aren't part of the basic design of Tegra as those are features that are added to a device depending on its functionality.

I really don't see why you couldn't carry three, just keep the SF in your bag. Although why you need a separate data-phone is bizarre enough if you leave it on as a wireless access point all the time I don't see what your patience level would be affected.

How come?

Quidco quite often isn't paid if any promotional vouchers/codes are used

Hmmm, I used one on my order but I'm still awaiting my cashback query to be processed.

I ordered one yesterday and haven't received any type of email confirmation - is that normal ?

** Checked the website and can see the order so they have definitely received it **

Thanks

Gavin

Members should only use voucher codes listed on Quidco. If you use voucher codes that are not listed on Quidco your cashback may not track or be declined.

Well that is £6.10 I wont be getting! lol, never mind, I got £10 off thanks to the voucher code and I love my Vega, so £6 isn't going to kill me.

Well lets not go there but who wants a phone that crashes when you try to unlock it and has less than a full days battery life if you use it actively? its not ideal, hence i have one phone for browsing one to make calls on. Simple.

Except the SF is too small for me to use properly i want a tablet, except i cant replace the SF for the tablet spec i want because none of them have 3g:/

i just want to sell up and move on, but im hampered by the lack of tegra2 3g tablets available out there, as there are non for sale in the UK>

Wish I'd waited to order mine now. Ordered mine on Sunday night and that code didn't work then, but now it does :) but nm. Hopefully it's arriving today though as it's out for delivery now

Tried the '5OFF' code tonight and it is no longer valid, however if you opt for the full bundle ( Vega, 16Gb card, Folio & screen protector) at £308 and enter code 'Curry5' you get 5% off bringing it down to £293.52 for the lot.
