Guest lpinho Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Hi all, since I'm abroad for a few days, I was using the mobile alarm clock from the clock application... To my surprise, it only working on the first day, afterwards, I cannot forget to turn of the alarm and turn it back on.... Shouldn't this work: Set the alarm for every day, and every day it starts!!?!? Thanks, L. Pinho
Guest Pelemane Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Are you using taskkillers? they mess your phone
Guest lpinho Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Are you using taskkillers? they mess your phone Good point there... yes I am... but what's the process that controls the alarms, is it the clock application? It would be interesting to know, to add it to the ignore list... Thanks for the reply Pelemane
Guest Pelemane Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Not sure what its name is in taskkillers cause im not using those.. If there is something like clock, alarm etc. just put them to ignore list and then try if alarm works after killing everything. Or just stop using taskkillers.
Guest M8701 Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 i was using my original sf just as it was out of the box, no custom roms or task killer installed and even then the alalarm didnt work. someone on the forum pointed out that when you set it to go off in morr than a few hours it didnt work

You can set up in the alarm program the days it will wake you up. Also, don't turn off the phone, it won't ring. Android crazy problem. Edited January 26, 2011 by Rotmann

I've tried your theory ,I did the following, set the alarm, and then made a "Kill all", guess what, on the next morning the alarm worked fine... I'm sure tomorrow morning, the alarm clock will not wake me up :) Don't understand this, does this happen to anyone else? Edited January 26, 2011 by lpinho
Guest BayTheMoon Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 I have a new Android Pulse Mini. The alarm worked fine at first, until I installed some new ringtones, then it stopped working. However, if I switch the phone to Airplane mode before going to bed, the alarm works fine. So obviously something is going wrong when the phone 'hibernates' when not being used for a few hours. Can it be caused by the ringtones installation?

Guest Stooby Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 I've used Gentle Alarm (paid app in the Market but worth every penny) for the past year or so and it has never let me down yet, apart from once when the battery died overnight. I would still take the advice above though, and stop using a task killer - there is no need for it on Android devices.

And I don't know what "Wrong topic (zte blade)" means. Edit: Ah. Just spotted it. sorry. Edited February 11, 2011 by BayTheMoon
