half and half screen or two-face syndrome..

ok this is kind of.. odd..

my Vega works fine dont get me wrong - the screen is responsive and all the apps are ok, but theres something odd going on with the screen..

let me show you what i mean :)

attached are 3 pics - cropped and resized down but still showing what i call the 'two-face' syndrome :lol:

we have: ------------- the top down ---------------------------------------------- bottom up -------------------------------------------------- and pretty much straight on

but in each one - especially the up and down extremes - it seems to be almost divided in a kind of.. negative/positive way? i dont know quite how to describe it.. if both sides were an equal constant i'd just put it down to it being a cheap screen, but its almost as though there are two smaller screens sandwiched together to make the whole and one of them is upsidedown?

its just wierd, and the funny thing is i can't remember when i first saw it - i'm not sure if its always been like this or just happened - any ideas peeps? :)

Weird ! but given that the split appears to be exactly halfway along screen I suspect a setting somewhere. What happens if you turn the screen into portrait?

Maybe its the wallpaper your using. Try another and see if it makes a difference. Let me know cos I'm curious now LOL. Try a black wallpaper???

This. It looks to me like this is two images stuck together and the one on the left has a faint blue background.

Oh thank god.. seems to have been the png somehow - phew!

very strange.. i have looked at the picture file i was using inverted, through filters etc.. it isnt a two tone pic. and when booting the vega when it said 'vega' the lettering was doing the same thing..

well using a different pic now and all fine

TWO FACE RETURNS!!!

well.. it isnt the wallpaper. I was looking for fish pie recipies on t'internet and noticed it was happening again! its the screen!

here it is from the bottom to top and then top to bottom..

then i looked at the side for good measure

and it seems to be fine from both sides so its the screen i guess. i'm wondering if it might be something to do with all the addons i have stuffed onto it from the forum and such? again it seems as though it is comprised of two panels that join in the middle which might explain some of my multitouch tests suddenly having my finger points represented on the opposite side to their actual location - top to bottom and visa versa

once r7 comes out i'll pop 1.08 and the MCR on it and watch it closely like an untrustworthy child to see if it does it again. any ideas as to what it might be though?
