Guest amarko5 Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Seemingly the adam interface or launcher called eden is easily ported (well for those in the know and im not one of them) on xda someone has already ported it over to the gtab so porting to the vega should be easy. the first software update i have posted links too in the adam tablet section, i hope someone can fine some use in the files posted.
Guest Damian J Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 Im on it! Great news... eden looks amazing. I'm also porting tnt lite to vega if anyones interested.. (it boots but most apps force close. no sound. no wifi. no hardware buttons. etc)

Also, watch out for the vega kernel source coming out very soon - by the end of this month.

The thing that's worth having from TnT is the kernel but, as you say, there's a ton of stuff that doesn't work.

Is it true there is no vega kernel source? Any kernel for the harmony board should be ok. Just need to change a couple things due to the slight variations between models...
Guest Damian J Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 i have my eden rom booting. wifi working. now to tackle sound. i will create a seperate thread once i release. my problem right now it is bootloops on second boot. a reflash is needed every second run. this makes it useless...

Guest jonnyspuruk Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Hi did anyone get any further with eden?
Guest newbe5 Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 I used it for a while on my Vega, but tbh it's overrated. It seems like a nice idea at first, but it isn't realized properly, it's kinda nice, but nothing you can't do with widgets. And it uses a shedload of RAM on the Vega, it makes it unbelievably slow and unusable after a while.
