Guest AmmoWaster Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 Hi First post sorry and it's a problem one, great site guys. Got a problem with my SF were by it hangs if i turn the phone on and off again I was using the lastest clock work and JJr8 rom which was all working fine till I turned it off to insert another sim card, then it would just hang on the android screen or if "Vol -" was pressed just hang on a blank screen. So I used fastboot to try and reinstall the latest clockwork but to no avail Eventually I installed the RA recovery one and that managed to boot into the flashing bit, so installed JJr9 which went fine, phone rebooted and loaded up I've just gone to install a theme so turned the phone off and it won't boot again just hangs like before! I'm a bit lost as to why it won't boot into anything, and one got any ideas?
Guest Rotmann Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 Install the ROM again with wipe, let it boot, install the add-ons you like, boot again, leave it 5 minutes to do it's thing, then install the theme. Are you sure you installed a theme specifically for RLS9?
Guest AmmoWaster Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 (edited) I can't install the rom again as I can't get into RA recovery it just hangs on a blank screen if i press "vol -" I haven't installed the theme as it hangs so i can't get into anything to install the theme I still have fastboot access though, but I can't do anything more than that, the phone is basically bricked Edited January 26, 2011 by AmmoWaster
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 flash clockwork again with the fastboot method fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork.......img try different versions of clockwork
Guest AmmoWaster Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I've tried 3 versions of clockwork inc the latest and RA recovery, all flash ok in fastboot but won't boot once on the phone It's almost like it's not seeing something it needs to boot into clockwork or a rom It's just odd it was all working fine, then turn it off and it won't boot I've tried without the memory card, with another memory card and still all the same it won't boot up
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 oki flash a rom with the total phone transfert method jellyfish rom has the format for this (create a /scdcard/image directory) and it's a good rom with all you need
Guest AmmoWaster Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 Ok i'll try that and let you know how I get on, cheers
