Guest Wizard Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I find that the tablet takes about 6seconds to connect to the wifi, but sometimes upwards of 10seconds. It's obviously not a long time, but if you want to quickly turn the tab on, and look something up, it's intensely annoying at times. What is that delay being caused by? I've set the Vega to use a static IP address (and reserved it on the router) but it's made no difference at all. So I assume it's not DHCP that's introducing the delay, but does it really need to take that long to handshake a wifi connection into existence? My tablet stays next to a power point and is usually plugged in so I'm wondering about leaving it on the wifi all the time, even when asleep, but it's not ideal really.
