I really need help with this.

When i am using any application all of the sudden it seems that one of these buttons is pressed by itself. The phone vibrates and takes me back to the home or the previous screen. Sometimes it will vibrate two tree times in a row and if I'm using the browser it will take me to the history tab and then it will take me to the home page. It seems that the buttons are pressed by themselves.

Do you guys think it's a defect? or something is causing this. I have done a lot of resets and i used all DJ_Steves roms. It does this with all. Is there a way to calibrate the sensitivity of these touch buttons?

Thanks

Try disabling the haptic feedback, see if that works first

try getting back to a stock build - prolly 318. Then you'll know for sure if it is a hardware fault.

I will try this and if it doesnt work i'll take it to dell service.

I'm trying to find the correct instructions for unlocked 318 EU but there are hundreds of posts and I'm getting confused. Can you point me to the right one?

Ok i think this is a hardware issue. This is what i did. I closed the phone and pushed the soft keys really hard up and down to get them to loosen up. Afte4r i rebooted and for half an hour the problem has disappeared. The only downside is that the home and menu keys don't respond immediately anymore. I believe that after a few hours of usage the problem will return. It seems that the soft-keys get stuck.

DJ_Steve or any other guru is there a way i could open the phone and clean up the connections or something? If i take this for service i will be without a phone for a long time and i don't have a spare.

Well it still not doing the problem but now I have another problem. The back button is very unresponcive. I have to press it 2-3 times in order for it to work or I have to press it very hard which I don't think is very good.

Again I'm begging for some advise. Is there someway to recalibrate the sensitivity of the soft buttons? Is there a way I can open the phone and clean the contacts or something? Please help me out here.

There is a thread about how to fix problems with the buttons somewhere.
