thanks for your helpful feedback..

Well theres no point in asking other people how it runs on their Streak as everyone's is different...especially if Sygic are offering a free 7 day trial so you can test it out for yourself?

Yes I have used it quite regular seems to work very well so far and will give a test later in the year in sardinia so that should give it a workout. Had tomtom one for years and this is not bad in comparison but on a decent size screen it looks sooo much better than that did.

I've tried both Sygic Aura and Ndrive. I prefer Ndrive, but for me the deciding factors are the maps of your area, and the screen layout and how it works with the positioning of the Streak in your vehicle. I also prefer the appearance of Ndrive, but that's just personal taste.

In Australia, I found the maps used by Aura have lots of outdated and irrelevant points of interest. They list my neighbour as a point of interest because he is an accountant. He's a nice guy and all, but really, accountants are not interesting. Oh - and he retired 18 months ago, so even if accountants could be considered as points of interest, it would still be wrong because it's out of date.

It's also not possible to re-route with Aura, which is a bit daft. (If you can re-route, I wasn't able to work out how.)

I found Ndrive to have a better user interface. However, I hate the fact that it tells you to "drive through the roundabout and then take the second exit", which just doesn't make sense.

One thing I noted with Aura is that the download of the maps is really slow and unreliable. I had to try a few times befoure it succesfully downloaded a map. Took a couple of days. They must be using a really slow server to send the maps. Ndrive, by contrast, was quite quick. That may not be as much of an issue in Europe or North America. I dunno.

So, I'd suggest Ndrive.

Try them both if you have the time and inclination. It's the best way to decide - and remember you are choosing the maps, not just the navigation software. Good software with crap maps will just drive you into frustration. (The Sygic maps in Australia are provided by WhereIs, which is ... erm... often wrong.)

Hope that helps.
